* THE GIRL BEHIND BabyGirl

One fine Sunday in 1995, an unsuspecting girl read a short blurb in the computer section of the newspaper which described MUDs on the internet. Having recently acquired net access, she decided this "sounded like fun" and went on a search. After a bit of surfing she arrived at a cyber-cafe page about cybermuds. One was called "The Terradome", and this idea of a world contained within a dome, entered by airlocks, was rather intriguing. The rest, as they say, is history....

A LITTLE ABOUT ME:

My name's Brenda. I was born in 1971 in "The City of Angels" (Los Angeles), but did most of my growing up in Colorful Colorado. I'm about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with long, blondish hair and brown eyes.

I happen to be left-handed; And, I am also very shy (honest!). I majored in Biology and English in college, because those were the things I enjoyed most! What do I do for a living? I am a Web Developer... You'll find me at BDRAGON.COM.

WORDS TO LIVE BY & FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

"The Kingdom of the Father will not come by expectation.
The kingdom of the Father is spread upon the earth and men do not see it."
(~From the Gnostic Gospel According to St. Thomas~)

"If I can stop one Heart from breaking
I shall not live in vain
If I can ease one life the Aching
Or cool one Pain

Or help one fainting Robin
Unto his nest again
I shall not live in Vain."
(~Emily Dickinson~)
"An angel runs
Thru the sudden light
Thru the room
A ghost precedes us
A shadow follows us
And each time we stop
We fall"
(~Jim Morrison~)

"How she hated words, always coming between her and life: they did the ravishing, if anything did: ready-made words and phrases, sucking all the life-sap out of living things."
(~D. H. Lawrence in 'Lady Chatterley's Lover'~)

"Hallo, Eeyore," said Christopher Robin, as he opened the door and came out. "How are you?"
"It's snowing still," said Eeyore gloomily.
   "So it is."
   "And freezing."
   "Is it?"
"Yes," said Eeyore. "However," he said, brightening up a little, "we haven't had an earthquake lately."
(~A. A. Milne~)
"...we have not even to risk the adventure alone, for the heroes of all time have gone before us. The labyrinth is thoroughly known. We have only to follow the thread of the hero path, and where we had thought to find an abomination, we shall find a god. And where we had thought to slay another, we shall slay ourselves. Where we had thought to travel outward, we will come to the center of our own existence. And where we had thought to be alone, we will be with all the world."
(~Joseph Campbell~)
